Android apps from Dan Peters Designs — practical tools, serious utilities, and creative software, downloadable directly from us.
DPD builds small, useful apps around the same ideas behind our other projects: local control, straightforward tools, and no unnecessary subscriptions. This page is the official home for DPD Android releases.
Practical Apps
Tools made to help get something done. Current releases are listed with version details, download packages or APKs, and SHA-256 checksums.
ChaosLedger
Version 0.1.0 Preview · Android 8.0+ · Signed DPD release · Local-first · No network permission requested
Record customer, vendor, and internal incidents, attach evidence, calculate labor, material, freight, downtime, outside-service, and other direct costs, then keep the whole story in a searchable history with native PDF reports.
The download is a ZIP package containing the signed ChaosLedger APK, its SHA-256 checksum, and a short install note.
APK SHA-256: cf048f72ef0d5ec14f91edc8c9ab41e4ed4706041c2a9390d43a20f9074db9f4
Headache Journal
Version 0.1.1 Test · Android 8.0+ · Local-only · No app permissions requested
A simple headache journal for tracking pain, symptoms, sleep, food and drink, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, cannabis/THC and other substances, medications, activities, weather and environmental factors, stress, period/cycle information, what helped, and freeform notes. Entries stay on the phone and can be reviewed or edited in History. Version 0.1.1 adds Print / Save PDF with all entries, the last 30 days, or the last 90 days in a chronological doctor-friendly report.
The download is a ZIP package containing the test APK, its SHA-256 checksum, and a short install note.
APK SHA-256: d771b9107ab15660511620880a17f5bec09027920db7d146de0d6a7c64844c91
Test-build note: this is an early usability build. The journal is for recording patterns and information; it does not diagnose the cause of a headache.
Palletize It
Version 0.4.5 · Android 8.0+ · 651 KB · Signed DPD release · No app permissions requested
Enter carton dimensions, weights, quantities, and contents. Palletize It builds a pallet-by-pallet load plan, recommends layer patterns, balances awkward leftovers, and produces a printable shipment report.
SHA-256: e8d899cd73844e950e4a2b40784b2173c3e07a5a3e9b4d60a8eab1d2ad7a2075
Release date: September 16, 2026. Version 0.4.5 extends the compact Layer 1 rule through pallet rebalancing, so a staggered upper layer moved to the base is repacked instead of carrying avoidable voids downward. Geometry guidance only; verify carton strength, product fragility, wrap, pallet condition, carrier limits, and handling requirements for real loads.
Installing a DPD App
- Download the app package from this page.
- If the download is a ZIP package, extract it first to get the APK.
- Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager.
- Open the APK and follow Android’s install prompt.
- For updates, download the newer signed release and install it over the existing version.
Android may describe this as installing from an “unknown source.” That means the app came from outside Google Play; it does not by itself mean the file is unsafe. Always download DPD apps from this official page rather than from a repost or mirror you do not trust.
Release Information
Public DPD releases will include a version number, release date, supported Android version, changelog, file size, and SHA-256 checksum so the downloaded file can be verified.
Google Play and F-Droid
DPD may also publish selected apps through Google Play, F-Droid, or other repositories later. Unless an individual app says otherwise, this page remains the official DPD source for direct downloads and release information.
Questions or Problems?
If an app will not install, update, or run correctly, use the DPD Contact page and include the app name, version, Android version, and what happened.
