Our Infrastructure: Private. Local. Independent.
Most of the modern web lives in “The Cloud”—which is really just someone else’s computer. This website is different.
In a world of constant surveillance and data brokering, we have opted for a different path. This site is hosted on private, independent hardware managed entirely in-house. We don’t rely on massive corporate data centers, and we don’t play by their rules.
1. No Tracking & No Harvesting
We do not build the site around advertising trackers or behavioral profiling, and we do not use your browsing history as a product. Like most websites, the server may record basic technical information for security and troubleshooting, and information you deliberately submit through email or forms is collected so DPD can respond or provide the requested service.
2. Zero Data Monetization
We do not sell personal information or provide it to advertisers or data brokers. Information you choose to submit is used for the purpose it was provided, such as answering a message, providing support, or setting up and administering a hosting account.
Information You Choose to Provide
Email messages and site forms may collect information you intentionally provide. The artist-hosting signup currently asks for contact information, domain and site details, a hosting-plan selection, and confirmation that the hosting terms were accepted. That information is used to evaluate, set up, administer, and document the requested service. Passwords should not be submitted through the hosting form.
3. Server-Side Transparency
- Logs: Our servers may generate basic technical logs for security and troubleshooting (such as identifying broken links or server errors). These logs are internal, kept on our hardware, and periodically purged.
- Cookies: This site is designed to function without tracking cookies. If a session cookie is ever required for site functionality, it is temporary and never used for identification.
- Third-Party Scripts: We avoid “calling home” to external libraries or fonts whenever possible to ensure your IP address isn’t leaked to third-party providers.
4. The “Right to Know”
We believe in the Right to Repair and Data Sovereignty. The website itself is hosted on DPD-controlled hardware, while some supporting functions may rely on outside infrastructure such as DNS, security, email delivery, payment links, anti-spam services, or embedded content. DPD tries to keep those dependencies limited and does not use them to build advertising profiles of visitors.
Final Word: This is a human-centric space. You are a guest, not a product.
Terms of Service
- Acceptable Use: This site, its downloads, and any hosted services are provided subject to the terms stated for the relevant project or service. Users agree not to engage in activity that interferes with or disrupts the server or other users, including abusive scraping, unauthorized stress-testing, malware distribution, or unauthorized access attempts.
- Intellectual Property: DPD-created writing, artwork, code, software, and documentation remain the property of their respective creator or rights holder unless a project is released under a stated license. Open-source and downloadable projects are governed by the license shown for that project. Third-party software, trademarks, artwork, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.
- Service Availability: As a privately hosted infrastructure, uptime is not guaranteed. Access may be suspended at any time for maintenance, migration, or security updates.

The hardware projects and modifications documented here—including but not limited to server migrations, PSU harness builds, and chassis reconstructions—are for informational purposes only. Working with electronics, soldering, and power supplies carries inherent risks, including fire, electric shock, and equipment damage.

Most public articles, guides, and many downloads are available without subscriptions or paywalls, while some services—such as artist website hosting—and individual products may carry clearly stated fees. DPD does not sell user data or build the site around advertising.
