If you make art, photography, jewelry, music, crafts, or other creative work and have been putting off having your own website because hosting feels expensive or complicated, Dan Peters Designs can provide the hosting space. You build and manage your own WordPress site; I keep the server side available.
$5 a month — or $50 a year — up to 5 GB
One ordinary artist, portfolio, or small creative WordPress site. Up to 5 GB: $5/month or $50/year. More than 5 GB and up to 10 GB: $8/month or $80/year. Sites over 10 GB need a separate arrangement.

What you handle
This is hosting, not a website-building service. You are responsible for building your site, writing and uploading your material, choosing and maintaining your themes and plugins, and doing the routine WordPress work for your site.
Your domain stays yours
Your domain name is separate from the hosting fee and belongs to you. I do not want your web address tied up in somebody else’s account just because they host the site.
Who this is for
This is meant for local artists and independent creators who need a straightforward home on the web: a portfolio, gallery, project page, artist bio, contact information, news, or a modest creative site.
If a site grows into a very large gallery, busy online store, high-traffic publication, or something else that needs substantially more server resources, we can talk about a different arrangement when that actually happens.
A couple of limits
- This is not a video-hosting service. Embedding videos from services such as YouTube or Vimeo is fine, but this hosting is not intended for storing or serving large video libraries.
- Only publish or share material you have the right to offer. Do not use the site to distribute copyrighted music, movies, images, books, software, or other material unless you own it or have permission or a license to distribute it.

That is what this hosting is meant for. It is not general-purpose storage, file sharing, media hosting, or a place for unrelated content. The resource is here to help artists put their work in front of people.
Dan Peters Designs is a small independent operation, not a mass-market hosting company. That is intentional.
