What started as a growing folder of custom desktop artwork has become a complete public release: DPD Pin-Up Icons 1.0.0 is now available.
The collection includes 1,015 pin-up-themed icons organized into 25 categories, along with matching category-folder icons and a master collection folder icon.
This first version brings the collection together as a proper downloadable package rather than a loose set of working files. It is available from GitHub in both ZIP and TAR.GZ formats, with documentation, a changelog, and SHA-256 checksums for verification.

From Working Folders to a Release
The collection did not begin as a neatly planned thousand-icon package. It grew gradually as icons were created for desktops, folders, applications, projects, and experiments.
Over time, the artwork became scattered across several working directories. Preparing the first public release meant gathering those files into one place, reviewing duplicates, correcting inconsistent files, manually recutting icons where needed, and building a category structure that made the collection practical to browse.
The matching folder artwork was also restored and organized so the package works as a collection rather than simply looking like a large directory full of unrelated images.
The Collection
The 25 categories cover a wide range of desktop and application uses. Some groups developed around specific programs or workstation tasks, while others grew from visual themes and experiments that became large enough to stand on their own.
The result is a reusable desktop-art package for Linux users, desktop customizers, theme builders, and anyone who wants something less ordinary than the standard application and folder artwork.

What Comes Next
Version 1.0.0 gives the collection a stable starting point. Future work may include additional icons, corrections, refined previews, new category packs, and closer integration with other DPD desktop themes.
There is no fixed schedule attached to that work. The collection will continue to grow as useful additions are created and existing artwork is improved.
