I’m back

So, it’s been like 10 years, and my journey had a few twists in it, but I’m back here now. hosting my own site this time and about to add some meat to what I had before. We will have the library, and my blogging about my projects, but we will be including a few other things as well, Kes’ stories and drawings, and Cass’ shop, as well as class schedules. For our close friends, we will have access to our Nextcloud workspace.

This is all done with old computers and hardware i scrounged, and was given, and some pretty cool opensource software such as Linux, Nextcloud, Docker, WebUi and others, have allowed me to reduce my reliance on google and the like. Yes, I’m working on de-googling, but its slow, especially when I’m using Gemini to put everything together. What? I cant code, and wasn’t much of a software guy, I’m more hardware. Some people use Ai for silly pics, some wont touch Ai, I see it as it is, a tool. I’m using that tool to build myself out of a hole, and hopefully into a income somehow.

So, here we are. I’m headed back into tech, after a 10 year absence, and I’m doing it on a budget, during a RAM shortage caused by Ai and Data centers, and I’m doing it to have a tiny local option to those massive data centers. A Node. a cluster of devices containing knowledge in numerous subjects, and formats, for private or public use. and a few storefronts tied on for some active income.

Thanks for tuning in. check back mid April. Dan
